I just read issue 5 of criminal. What a great read, I totally enjoyed it. There were some plot twists that really surprised me. I don't see how there can be a 6, but I hope there is.

Issue #6 is going to center on Tracy Lawless. He's the guy that Leo says taught him how to use a knife on someone.

Sweet, so there is time for Leo to recover. He is in a bad way.

I've been reading a huge trade paper back called "The Best of American Splendor". I'm halfway into it, it's my first time reading Harvey Pekar stories expect for the recent Vertigo mini-series. It's pretty good stuff, can be a bit of a downer though so don't read if you expect a feel good pick me up type of story. It's just about a guy and his mundane life, we can find bits and pieces where we recognize each other in that book.

Just finsihed reading the whole X-Factor Vol. 3 run, and once again, it was amazing!!!
I had read up to 10 or so, but figured I'd start from the begining to refresh myself on what had happened, and if I was using outsider's grading scale, every single issue would get a great or excellent!
The two civil war issues were actually my least favorites, and would almost get a fine, but I'd give them a great, because what happened in them will probably come back, and are important in that sense... they just didn't seem as exciting as the rest.
The last few issues have been superb, with Madrox taking on Hydra (sort of), and the last issue, where he deals with one of his dupes becoming a minister, was simply one of the best reads I've had in a while! Quite possibly the best issue in the series, and a well deserved Excellent!
I highly recommend this series to anyone interested in a good quasi-noir storyline mixed in with x-men team books.

Annihilation, the minis and the series - it all pretty much rocked! Ex Machina, not a bad TPB in the bunch.
Looking forward to the next Fables TPB

Well other than my weekly dose of new DC comics I have been reading some older titles. Just about done reading The Time Masters Mini series from the 80s. Its about Rip Hunter who is getting a little light shone on the character in the pages of 52. Started the original Checkmate series love the new version of the group. Half way through Greg Rucka's Whiteout. Movie coming soon to a theater near you. Finished the Transmetropolitan not long ago. Need more Spider! Finished The Starman trades I could get. I so need Volume 3 and 4 of the series. How did the people get out of the poster that ate people. Later

So I read the whole Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man story, and I have to say... it gets better. There's still a few cringe worthy moments here and there, but once you get passed the initial mexican wrestler story, and the hobgoblin from teh future story (although some of the results frmo this story are somewhat important to the rest of teh story), it's honestly not all that bad.
Peter David can still write dialogue when he wants to, although sometimes his characters are a little cookey cuter... but not awful.
So yeah, at first, I was completely annoyed with this series, and was about to drop it until I leanred of the Back In Black crossovers... but the last two arcs have been acceptable. Not great, but certainly better than the Wonder Man book David is currently doing.

I just finished reading Transmetropolitan TPB #5, 6, 7 and man. What a good read. I figure most of you read these comics already, but if not, there is no better time than the present. Spider Jerusalem is awesome.

I'm in the process of reading Kevin Smith's run on Green Arrow. Pretty good, although I have to say, after reading it for a while, and watching justice league unlimited, his "fat-cats" and "fascist police" lines are getting pretty redundant... but the story was as good as his run on daredevil, if not better, because it wasn't followed by something that completely blew it out of the water.
Also planning to read the new JSA issues.
