NGenesis: Trials of Flesh by Apocrypha Studios
A game of enigmas, secrets, lies, conflict and dominion! Saved from the threshold of apocalyptic self-annihilation, the world knew peace and unity under the Ngen. Coupled technologically, biologically and theologically with an endless enigmatic energy called the Pyur, the Ngen were modern gods. Then came the Hrongyr, infesting all Creation with chaos, darkness and damnation. The last remnants of Ngen disappeared, slumbering in vast preservation chambers. Father has risen from slumber and a new inception of divine Ngen make their way into the unrecovered world. They go forth to discover what remnant of the world remains. They go forth to prevail against the Trials of Flesh. They go forth to bring about a rebirth of the Ngen. Until Dominion Day come!

Axis & Allies Miniatures by Avalon Hill
One multi-player board big enough for 12 players will be the field of battle. Each player will draw one card from a mission deck. Once players complete their mission they can assist their teammates to complete theirs. The first side to complete all of their objectives will have scored a major victory for their side.
1-12 players - Miniatures donated - Winning side will each receive a starter set

Star Wars RPG by Wizards of the Coast
After successfully completing their first mission our band of mercenaries are off to what should be a very profitable venture. That's assuming no one else knows about it.
1-6 players - Pre-gen characters - Prizes TBD

From the Games Workshop side of things:

Warhammer 40K Recon Challenge
· 9AM to 12 PM
· There will be 3 games, each game lasting 50 mins
· 500 PTs
· A Troop choice is mandatory
· No special characters
· HQ selection is not required, but you can have one if you like
· Spend the rest of the 500pts as you see fit


Warhammer 40K Battle Challenge
· 1500pts
· 3 games, each game lasting 1:45 mins
· Event runs from 1PM to 8PM
· There will be a 1 hr supper break between 5 and 6
· One Special character is allowed
· Large vehicles/Creatures are allowed (eg. Baneblade)
· Players may pool up in order to produce an army of 1500pts, i.e. if 3 players have only 500pts each they can form a team and combine their respective armies in to an army of 1500pts


WH Painting Competition
Submit a painted squad or vehicle from your army in either of the two 40K events for judging.

March to Oblivion went well. We're back to the old Knights of Columbus site which now has it's own off street parking. Dana gave a great opening speech mentioning Gary Gygax and how he started D&D with his old crew.
From what I offered, the NGenesis didn't go off Saturday morning. In the afternoon we had a 6 player game of Axis & Allies, 600 points of Axis versus 600 points of Allies. The Allies held their two objectives. The Allies grabbed one of the uncontested objectives early on using a paratrooper. The other open objective was highly contested by both sides. Of the two German objectives the Allies were going to grab one in two or three more turns. So it was an Allied win but everyone won a starter. For the Star Wars Saga game we create 2nd level characters first which took some time but gave everyone some insight into what 4th edition is going to look like. I shared my experience playing 4th ed in Virginia 2 weeks earlier at the D&D Experience while creating characters citing some of the differences between the two systems. The scenario was fun and entertaining as the pilot rolled a 1 while jumping to the system at the beginning of the game.
The one day event was very busy and I didn't have time to talk to everyone. I hope to see more people in September for our weekend event.
