What did you think of the "Watchmen" movie compared to the Novel ?

It was a good adaptation of the story, but misses it's mark at being a good movie. Lots of bad/annoying CGI, drawn out pointless scenes/sequences, below average acting from a lot of the cast. Rorschach was great though!
The music should have been a score throughout, and the inclusion of "modern" pop songs really ruined the flow of the movie for me.
Too many annoyances with the movie that made me not really like it. If it would have been any other story, this movie would have sucked.

I though that the Nite-Owl and Silk Specter fight scenes where drawn out and over the top. They do seem like the type of characters that would beat a bunch of criminals up. But, they don't seem like the types that would stab a gang-banger in the neck. That seems more like Rorschach or the Comedian. Zach Snyder's love of gore spoiled some scenes that should have gone down differently. And yes the sound track did get a little on the irritating side. It almost reminded me of "Forrest Gump". I was horrified to be thinking about that peice of crap movie while Watching "Watchmen".

I'm going to have to just do a little tangent note here to say that I love Forest Gump :-P

Well, as much as I hate to admit it, your in good company there. I seem to be the only person I know that finds that movie annoying.
