I'm not sure about just using the basic set. I'd like to have things pretty open as far as ships go and the tech level. Plus, if we pick up too many more players I don't think the basic set has enough races... Also the store should be making a decent order of SFB stuff in the next month so there will be plenty of support material around for those who want it. Ok sounds cool plus I forgot the basic set doesnt have neo-tholian, ISC, Seltorian and Hydran! what do you think about using an area movement map instead of a hex based one for the strategic movement? ( like risk or game of thrones or even Arkham horror)

I'm not sure about an area movement map, especially since I just printed the hard copy rules and have already passed one out. Perhaps we can look into that for the next campaign.
And Bah! to exploding klingon ships.

Does anyone know if the BPV cost listed on the Planetary Defense System sheets is per group of Satellites or for each one?

I don't see any claims for the Federation here, so I think I'll go for them. They were my old stand-by favorites from the old days (after the Seltorians).

Sort of like Johns klingon E7 BC, with 2 fwd hull and 4 rear, oh wait.........

Haha,
Tin-can ships are fun, they make for great explosions.
A couple of things I thought we might need, if they exist, is a master ship list and a list with the bpv cost of all the misc. do-dads in the game.
I'm working on a turn generation form, hopefully have that ready by the weekend.
I was thinking that the 2nd of october would be a good day to start?

We also need to have alist of the allowable ships, like you said a *master ship list*
I might have copies of the relevant modules
new worlds 1 2 and 3 I have , and perhaps maybe the advanced missions ones?

Sounds good, I've pretty much decided what I want to start with and my initial build-up for the first few turns, I'll make a list and pass the reference numbers along soon.
