Greetings. I am getting a copy of the classic Keep on the Borderlands. And, I would like to run it. It would be a short campain. Only serveral sessions. Players would be there for a good time and not a long time. I will be running with the classic D&D rules, elf as a class ect. I would like to begin this next week wednesday or thursday. Please let me know, on this thread, if interested. Anyone is welcome.

I should also mention that it would be at the Charlottetown location. Sorry, kind of important.

Yeah, it might be a bit of ride from where you are. And with the price of gas being what it is these days...

House rules. Greetings. I think that the first session we had went really well. However, two of you raised a very important point. Wisdom is a rather useless trait in the OD&D game. All it does is add to one's saving throws against magical attacks. Other traits like strength and dexterity seem to affect more facets of the game. As a house rule, I would like for characters to add thier wisdom modifiers to their search rolls. So an elf with a 14 wisdom would have a three in six chance of finding secret doors, instead of the normal two in six. This modifier only applies to search rolls, made on the d6. It does not apply to theif skills. I also do not want place thieves in double jepordy. If a theif's move silently, find traps, or hide in shadows roll fails on the d100, they get the standard one in six chance. The find traps roll is modifed by a theif's wisdom. For better or for worse. Please let me know what you think of this rules. This is a popularity contest. And, if you don't like this rule, It's GAWN.

Your idea seems reasonable, but if you do adapt it, you'll have to allow the players to move their stats around to reflect the new reality since they might have assigned their stats differently if the rule was in place during character creation.

Sure. We have'nt gotten into the dungeon crawling yet. So, I don't think it will affect anything.

Huh?! An old-school D&D game, and I wasn't informed?! Count me in! Send me a PM with the date for the next session. I'm very familiar with the pre-d20 system D&D rules as well, so...

Greetings I know that we missed this week's session. But, I though that I would do some posting. I hope the interest in the adventure does not wane too much. From time to time I would like to post the names and professions of the NPCs that the character's encounter. I will also give give each NPC a card, and description of who they are and where they may be found.

Hellos! I just realized there's a forum here. (it's English-Mark). How is the Keep on the Borderlands game going? If you run another basic D&D game in the future I'd be interested in joining majortom. It might mean a pause in the Savage Tide campaign but we're all pretty used to that right? Ah basic D&D...*sigh*. Aleena the Cleric, my first love.
