I HATE NETDECKS AND THE PEOPLE WHO PLAY THEM.
To me it shows a lack of ingenuity and overall disrespect towards those people who refuse to debase themselves by using said premade decks and/or refuse to post anonymous versions of this garbage (albeit shiny powerfull garbage...trademark pending). these people don't derserve thier ranking(s) and they certainly dont deserve anything less than to be completely shunt from the community.
I mean come on; any idiot with 150+ cash and no self respect can yoink one of these puppies.
thats just my side of the story.

What is the difference between a netdeck and a deck that just looks a lot like a netdeck?
If I wanted to build a Mono-Blue control deck, it would probably look very similar to the Mono-Blue Pickles decks that are available online, does that make it a netdeck?
For Regionals this year, I built a Black / Blue / Red deck that heavily featured Korlash and transmute cards. I had been working on the deck for a few weeks and talking with it with some people on a forum. Suddenly, there was an article that featured a similar deck list (most likely gotten through independent research, not because it was taken from my thread), does that mean my deck is now a netdeck and I shouldn't play it?
These are all things to consider before you blast at people playing netdecks.

Uhuh and I played a deck similar to '10 cent' affinity when mirrodin was legal in T2 but at the very least i had the cojones to be original. All I'm saying is that some of the magic community don't really know what the game is all about anymore. FYI most people who play decks vitually identitcal to netdecks will announce it was thier idea; talking about constructed decks pre- tourney is a sure sign that somebody is going to rip it if it's any good i dont care if people are cheap; deep down it shopws how pathetic they are

Some people play to win, not to have fun

That's the very definition of competitive play. Casual play is what 2nt9 seems to be after.

A very astute deduction kevin. Honor can exist on the battle field...though its rarity makes it a most treasured quality

i have several decks to my name, mostly old decks. in my history of playing the game, there have been several occasions where i looked up decks for suggestions on what i should replace something in my existing deck with to balance things out and it turns out there was only 3 or 4 swap outs that would turn my deck into what you might call a netdeck. these decks get posted online for a damn good reason, it's because they happen to be winning tournaments. if you want to blame anyone for ruining your evening at a FNM or some other kind of semi-casual event, blame the jerk that asks you to let him take back a move, then doesn't let you... and then calls you out for it, or the guy that steals a couple of your cards and gets you disqualified for playing a deck of less than 60 cards.
