Calico, I'm not sure if you have any casters on your crew, but let's just say at least one of them has access to one sending spell via scroll. Soon after arriving back in Farshore Calico receives a message from the crew:
"Found ship. Badly damaged. Powerful tentacled fish creature and aquatic thunder lizard pet defend wreck. Anchored in bay south. Will require assistance, carpenters and supplies"
Calico may respond with a message of 25 words or less and we'll start the next session at this point.

Savage Tide – Session 33 Recap
Brewfest, day 7, 596 CY
It is the last day of the Brewfest holiday. The citizens of Farshore tap a few casks of rum and kegs of ale and finally relax a little, temporarily putting aside fears of the Crimson Fleet.
Late in the afternoon, Calico receives a message from the crew of the Brandywine Jezebel indicating that they met with resistance at the wreck of the Ravaged Pride. The message is short and cryptic, but Calico learns that some variety of tentacled fish-creature and its aquatic dinosaur companion have taken up residence within the ship. Calico replies to the message and orders the crew to stay put in a sheltered bay south of the wreck and wait for his arrival, then heads to the Last Coconut to join the festivities.
The common room of the Last Coconut is overflowing with libations and good cheer. The party is the toast of the town since returning from a successful expedition to the mainland with a store of rakasta-made weapons in tow. Many acquaintances of the party are present at the Last Coconut this evening – Lavinia, Amella, Avner, Tolin and Zan of the Jade Ravens and others. Lavinia indicates that her campaign for Farshore mayor has been going very well, thanks to the efforts of Thamiol, Croan and other party members, and she expresses confidence in her ability to defeat Lord Manthalay Meravanchi in the coming election. Calico introduces himself to Avner, Manthalay’s nephew and primary canvasser, who sits with Zan Oldavin, sulking and pining for the city life of Sasserine. When Avner indicates that he has had some setbacks in campaigning for his uncle, Calico sees an opportunity to further sabotage Manthalay’s campaign. Taking Avner outside, Calico plants the seed of ambition in Avner’s ear by suggesting that he would be a better choice for mayor than old, out-of-touch Manthalay. Avner, perhaps drunk on an overabundance of rum, takes the bait and heads back into the common room with renewed purpose.
Meanwhile, Thamiol decides to speak with another Jade Raven, Kaskus the dwarf, about the possibility of getting his assistance in constructing a magical wand to use against the ships of the Crimson Fleet. Thamiol finds Kaskus at Telda’s greenhouse. Kaskus, eager to do some exploring in the jungle around Farshore, needs little convincing. Kaskus does request that Thamiol talk to Liamae and ask if she would accompany him. Kaskus has not been oblivious to the fact that the Jade Ravens are disintegrating as a band, and wishes to rekindle some of the old spark that the group once had.
Thamiol finds Liamae at the Farshore Chapel in conversation with Vesserin Catherly. Speaking with Liamae, he learns of her brush with death aboard the Blue Nixie during the journey from Sasserine to Farshore and her subsequent awakening to the faith of Rudd, demigoddess of luck. Thamiol is intrigued by Liamae’s talk of Rudd, and perhaps also by her green eyes and graceful curves. Liamae and Thamiol talk through the night, and retire to her room at the Last Coconut.
Shump, feeling the need to spend some time alone with Chim-Chim, his closest friend, uncorks a bottle of Avner’s finest vintage (rescued from the hold of the Ravaged Pride after the shipwreck over a month ago). He quaffs the wine while flying above the town, chatting at length with Chim-Chim.
Croan reconnects with Lavinia after long days of separation and retires with her back to Vanderboren manor.
Calico recruits both Amella and Dranys Sellis (owner of Sellis’ Woodworking and Smithing) for the expedition to the wreck of the Ravaged Pride, and then continues drinking throughout the night. He wakes in a cold sweat at the Farshore cemetery, weakened and apparently struck blind by the night’s revelry. The blindness proves not to be temporary and, recalling the sludgy muck he fell into at the Temple of the Jaguar, Calico begins to fear he has been afflicted with some disease beyond a simple hangover. Stumbling out of the cemetery, he eventually makes his way to the Vanderboren manor. Croan stumbles out of bed, throws on the nearest robe (a particularly attractive blue silk shift of Lavinia’s) and lets Calico inside. Recognizing that Calico is suffering the effects of some malady, Croan intones words of Istus’ power and cures the disease before heading back to bed.
Starday, 1 Patchwall, 596 CY
Amella, apparently unaffected by the previous night of hard drinking, rouses the party soon after dawn and oversees the loading of cargo and supplies onto the Blue Nixie in preparation for the voyage north to the site of the Ravaged Pride. The expedition departs in the early afternoon.
Godsday, 4 Patchwall, 596 CY
The party arrives at the bay where Calico’s ship, the Brandywine Jezebel, is anchored.
Waterday, 5 Patchwall, 506 CY
Shump dons the cloak of the manta ray and heads to the wreck of the Ravaged Pride on a reconnaissance mission. Once there, he manages to peer inside the wreck without arousing suspicion. Within the wreck he spots a strange creature with an alien, octopus-like head and fish-like body with three tails. The creature appears to be crafting some sort of magical apparatus within the wreck. Shump heads back to the Blue Nixie and Brandywine Jezebel.
The party makes its approach to the Ravaged Pride by rowboat, which is nearly capsized when a huge elasmosaurus attacks near the wreck. A furious battle ensues. Calico is nearly decapitated when Shump takes a wild swing at the creature with his eldritch glaive, and only quick response from Croan manages to stem the flow of blood. The strange fish-creature and its elasmosaurus companion are killed, and repair of the Ravaged Pride can finally begin.

I can't make it to the game again this week, unfortunately. I have to be in Halifax Thursday morning, which means I'm leaving Wednesday evening. Sorry guys...I will be there next week!
I'll probably post a few details regarding the repair of the Ravaged Pride and the ongoing political machinations in Farshore over the next week. Stay tuned.

What did I miss ? How many pirates got a good thrashing ? Hopefully Shag managed not to get swallowed. Amazingly,no. NOTHING happened to Shag. This could be an omen. But Levinia(spelling?) won the election, and the pirates showed up,but we anchored 4 or 5 of them, and they sent out a few flesh golems to the shore, and some villagers died from cannon fire.

lol! That about sums it up gmc. I will post a recap later tonight with additional details. I anticipate Shag and Ash will get considerably more game time next week, and there will be plenty of opportunity for Shag to have yet another near-death experience.

I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. How wide can a flesh golem open it's mouth?

Here are some various rumours you have heard about the Crimson Fleet (from Farshore villagers, back in Sasserine, etc.). I think I gave you these way back during the second module (before a number of you joined the group). Anyway, here they are again...not that any of them affect the game, but they give a bit of flavour to the fleet:
-Captains of the Crimson Fleet are all addicted to a drug that turns their eyes permanently red with blood. -Their eyes are red because they are half-fiends, having made a pact with a demon lord in return for their position. -The threat of the Crimson Fleet is the only thing keeping the Scarlet Brotherhood from overrunning Sasserine. -The Crimson Fleet are in fact in league with the Scarlet Brotherhood. -The leader of the Fleet is known only as “The Admiral”, and wears a blood-red mask over half his face at all times to conceal his shocking identity. -The sailors in the Crimson Fleet are all cannibals, loosed upon the seas to sow torment and pain. -The pirates of the Crimson Fleet are cabalists and have sold their souls to demons. -The Crimson Fleet appears much larger than it really is because it hires other pirate captains as mercenaries to do it’s dirty work. -Only true Crimson Fleet ships fly the red flag. -The Crimson Fleet has demonic forces and undead armies at its command. -The Fleet has eyes and ears everywhere, and communicates through seemingly innocuous signs and signals. Those who speak ill of it without care are likely to meet with accidents. -The Fleet has a hundred ships, the largest of which is a mobile island drawn by enslaved dragon turtles.

Here's the next recap... again, I didn't proof this so excuse any errors, and let me know if I missed anything; it's hard to remember what each of you were doing!
Savage Tide – Session 34 Recap
Waterday, 5 Patchwall 596 CY
The Brandy Jezebel and Blue Nixie set anchor in the bay and throughout the windy, wet day the crews of the two ships unload the necessary cargo – lumber, tar, forged nails and other supplies – to begin rebuilding the Ravaged Pride.
Meanwhile, Croan and Thamiol examine the corpse of the strange aquatic creature with the intention of researching it further back in Farshore, and Shump prepares for a journey back to Sasserine (using Gwaeron’s Belt wind-walking power) in search of magical equipment to assist against the pirate attack.
Earthday, 6 Patchwall, 596 CY
The rains continue heavily through the night, putting all in a foul mood. The rains cease by the early morning hours, however, and work begins on the Ravaged Pride with the breaking dawn. Skilled carpenters Amella and Dranys supervise the effort.
Satisfied everything is under control under the tutelage of Amella and Dranys, the rest of the party boards the Brandy Jezebel and sets sail for Farshore.
Sunday, 9 Patchwall, 596 CY
The Brandy Jezebel arrives back in Farshore. The party members go their separate ways for the time-being. Calico heads to the Last Coconut, figuring it the most likely place to find Avner. On his way there he notices Lord Manthalay busy doing some door-to-door campaigning of his own. Manthalay gives Calico a grim look, clearly suspicious of something.
Calico arrives at the Last Coconut to find a bruised Avner nursing a clay mug of rum and sugar-cane nectar, flanked closely by two of Lord Manthalay’s hulking men-at-arms. Avner relates (quite drunkenly) his uncle’s less than favourable response to the news of Avner’s bid for mayor, pointing out each superficial bruise and scrape with exaggerated pathos.
Calico waits for nightfall and then skulks through the estate of Lord Manthalay, gaining entrance through the third-floor window of the estate’s western tower. Within the tower Calico finds a collection of exotic animal pelts, trophies and rare artifacts, including a strange, flexible grey object of unknown material from a ruin in the distant Barrier Peaks. Calico decides to redecorate Manthalay’s antiquities room before heading into the house proper. He avoids a near detection by Lord Manthalay before lurking through the study, where he finds an incriminating letter from Manthalay to his brother Zebulah, expounding on the poor character of Zebulah’s son Avner and the unfortunate efforts of “the flunkies of that bitch troll Lavinia” to undermine his right to govern Farshore. Calico pockets the letter, avoids detection again after Avner returns to the estate with a barmaid in tow, and makes his way to Lavinia’s estate. Once there, he climbs up to the second-floor window, where he inadvertently spies Lavinia and Croan in the throes of passionate embrace, and slips Manthalay’s letter under the window jamb before calling it a night.
Thamiol seeks out Liamae Teslikaria, while Valorian, Shag and Ash head to the Last Coconut for warm food (boiled salted pork and root vegetables) and ale.
Over the course of the next week, Shump continues his efforts in Sasserine to track down and purchase desired magic items, finding the city generally unchanged in the intervening months. Thamiol continues to court Liamae and assist in training new militia recruits. A number of Farshore’s citizens are taken by Thamiol’s charisma and natural leadership qualities and become devoted followers. The rest of the party continues to campaign for Lavinia for the upcoming election. Lavinia and Croan confront Thamiol regarding Manthalay’s letter, suspecting him of stealing or forging it. Thamiol insists it was none of his doing.
Waterday, 19 Patchwall, 596 CY
Expecting the Crimson Fleet attack within the week, the citizens of Farshore are eager to get the elections for town mayor over and done with. The entire village gathers on the grounds of the Farshore Chapel, with Vesserin Catherly presiding as an intermediary between the two candidates. Valorian tells stories of his time with Lavinia as a child and he and Shag give a rousing speech regarding her character and ability to lead. Thamiol, meanwhile, plays an inspiring interlude on his lute, dazzling the audience with magical prestidigitation before introducing Lavinia. Lavinia takes the podium and makes a short but honest speech relating her parent’s founding of Farshore, her desire to see Farshore thrive and exist as a symbol of cooperation between settlers and native Olman, and the need to be vigilant against those who would undermine and destroy the fragile settlement.
Manthalay speaks after Lavinia, expounding on his own claim to the seat of mayor, his successful running of the settlement for the last two years, his hard-line against immoral and uncouth Olman, and his desire for Farshore to be a beacon of civilization and the first of many such settlements on the Isle.
In the end, Lavinia reclaims the title of mayor by 30 votes. Manthalay acquiesces graciously, congratulates Lavinia on her ability to play the political game (throwing penetrating glares at the party at this), and leaves the chapel with poor Avner in tow.
Freeday, 28 Patchwall, 596 CY
Lavinia made the defense of Farshore her priority during her first week as mayor, ensuring the town’s walls were sound, catapults and armaments were in position and at the ready, and citizens able to weild a sword were prepared to do so. Finally, on the morning of the 28th of Patchwall, Shump and a number of fishing fleet scouts spotted ships of the Crimson Fleet on a direct course for Farshore. The attack consists of seven ships, including five caravels (the Brine Harlot, Stygian Shark, Hell’s Messenger, Kraken and the Hag) and two pinnaces (the Lusty Wench and Sea Witch’s Curse) identified with a red flag emblazoned with the Crimson Fleet’s distinctive (twin scimitars surmounted by a horned skull). Shump hightails it back to Farshore to warn the town, guessing that the fleet will arrive within two hours.
The Blue Nixie, Ravaged Pride and Brandy Jezebel are situated at strategic points in Farshore’s harbour and the siege weapons are loaded and readied. Calico directs his crew from the deck of the Brady Jezebel. Thamiol stands with his followers and Ash on the Farshore docks, waiting for the pirates to make landfall. Shag, Shump and Valorian swim into the harbour, ready with water breathing magic and anchoring feather tokens to disrupt the fleet’s assault.
The Crimson Fleet surges into Farshore harbour in the early afternoon, angry whitecaps breaking before their prows and a fierce wind in their sails. Farshore’s catapults and ballistae begin firing as soon as the ships are within range, sending rock and burning pitch into the fleet’s midst. The fleet answers back in kind, firing its own volleys of catapult, ballista and bombard fire. Shump, Valorian and Shag use their feather tokens to successfully anchor the approaching caravels, causing the ships to list perilously and, in one case, ram each other. The caravels begin dropping landing parties into the water; Calico waits for the first rowboats to approach the shore, intending on plowing through them with the Brandy Jezebel. Great fireballs that appear to be the result of magic rather than catapult or bombard fire begin exploding within the town. Shump flies above the ships to investigate and spots a group of reptilian yuan-ti aboard the Stygian Shark, one of whom appears to be casting spells. Valorian and Shag, still in the water, notice four hulking humanoid creatures of stitched-together flesh step off the Stygian Shark and make their way along the ocean floor toward the Farshore docks.

Lavinia and Croan confront Thamiol regarding Manthalay’s letter, suspecting him of stealing or forging it. Thamiol insists it was none of his doing. they suspected me? I thought they were asking me for help to see who wrote it. moot point now though since when I confronted Calico he told me what he did. - Mark - Does Liamae Teslikaria have a character sheet, or are you going to hold on to that?
